Hoya - Alpha II Protector and Circular Polarizer

New updates to Hoya Alpha series include slimmer frame and better construction.

Huntington Beach, CA, January 2, 2022: Hoya is releasing two new filters, the Alpha II Circular Polarizer, and Alpha II Protector, to start off the new year.

The Hoya Alpha II Series, an update to the Alpha I entry line, features a thinner frame and improved glass. 

The Alpha II Circular Polarizer includes six layers of multi-coating. The thin frame design allows photographers to use the filter with wider angle lenses and no vignetting. The Circular Polarizer counters unwanted reflections and glare, effectively darkening blue skies on sunny days and providing extra contrast to foliage.

The Alpha II Protector is a multifunctional clear piece of glass designed to protect the front element of a lens. The protector can be left on the lens at all times. 

Both filters offer signature black matte frames, Hoya clear glass, and come in a protective hard case. The size options are available for both film and digital photographers: 49-82mm.
